Ted is an upcoming American comedy film, directed by Seth MacFarlane. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, and Laura Vandervoort. Filming began in May 2011 in Boston and Swampscott. The movie, which is the feature-length directorial debut for MacFarlane, is produced by Working Title Films and Media Rights Capital, and will be distributed by Universal Pictures and is set for a July 13, 2012 release. In March of 2012, the MPAA gave the film an R rating for crude and sexual content, pervasive language, and some drug use.
